About us

Sensus process management

Modeled with the right foundation

We are Sensus process management. We didn’t just get to where we are now. We have experienced many developments and milestones over the years. Read our story below and the events that made us what we are today.

Our timeline

Empty Date

1998 - The start

Sensus method was initially born out of frustration. Organizations lack a way to make it clear who does what, when and why. Hans Haack founded the Sensus method in 1998.

2000 - Hans & Gregor

Just two years later, former colleague Gregor Dekkers joined forces with him and became his partner. There was an immediate connection between the two and they quickly realized that they would be good business partners, which later turned out to be the case.

2003 - The ant!

Our logo was an ant, because ants are unique in their strong way of communication, collaboration, efficiency, power and synergy. These are all things that process management according to the Sensus method stands for.
Empty Date

2004 - Customer base is growing

The fruits of their collaboration began to bear fruit, namely significant growth. Trainers and consultants were already working for Sensus, but more hands were needed.

2005 - Hard work pays off

In 2005, working from home was said goodbye to when the first employees were officially hired. It was time for a new chapter. This year we moved to our first office in the beautiful town of Loenen aan de Vecht.
Empty Date

2007 - Relocation

That office in Loenen quickly became too small for the increasing number of employees. In 2007, Sensus process management settled in Maarssen on the beautiful Schippersgracht, where it is still located today.

2011 - Sensus BPM Modeller

With this new version of the Sensus software we were equipped with new features such as the process library, a ready-made publication website and an icon canvas that could automatically organize processes according to our Sensus method.
Empty Date

2015 - The apps

This year has seen a large rise in apps, including some business ones. The idea was to reinvent Sensus in the form of an app for an international target group. The app was the most downloaded business app in the Apple Store for a year.
Empty Date

2018 - New corporate identity

To support our international ambition, the name Sensus method was abandoned in 2018 and since then we have been known as Sensus process management. That year, our software was also converted into a SAAS solution and renamed Sensus BPM Online.

Present - Bigger than ever

We receive new customers every month and we also proudly continue with the customers who have believed in us for over 20 years. Remco Mulder also recently started as commercial director to guide our major future plans.

Customers about Sensus BPM Online

“The GDPR requires you to have a processing register, which records which personal data are processed where, to whom they are sent and in which application they are processed. We have chosen to record the data processing together with the processes in Sensus BPM Software to easily keep the processing register up to date and to keep it alive within the organization. This way of working is very efficient and clear for us! This resulted in a GDPR process model, which we developed in collaboration with Hans Bloemen from Sensus-method. You can make an export so that you immediately have a processing register ready. A very pragmatic solution!”

Esli Endlich

Privacy Officer, de Alliantie

“The connection between Sensus software and Enterprise Architect from Sparx Systems is used to have access to the current system architecture and to link it to individual processes. This way we have insight into the interdependencies between processes and applications, for example the phasing out of applications.”

Jacques van Iperen

Business Process Advisor, Portaal

“Sensus BPM Online is a simple tool and therefore very user-friendly. Process management is becoming more and more alive, because the content is becoming more complete, but especially because we describe it together.”

Mohamed el Issati

Controller, Havensteder

“When Omnia Wonen talks about optimally serving the customer, it is about faster, better, cheaper, more innovative, more flexible and more sustainable. And all that at the same time. “The great thing about process-oriented working is that you look across departments and organizations. Only Working in this way makes it possible to collaborate so well with our chain partners, because we have a lot of insight and overview to be able to manage.”

Mark Drost

Process Manager Construction and Maintenance, Omnia Wonen
